Feed the flock of God among you,
Oversee them with restraint,
Willing minds, not seeking profit,
Selfless serve, without complaint.
Elders, share in Jesus’ glory,
Witness to Christ’s suffering,
May you bear the Gospel story,
All your finest talents, bring!
Never lord it over others,
By proud words or pompous ways,
Live as one, as sisters, brothers,
Models of Christ’s love and grace.
When the Shepherd, great and glorious,
Shall appear upon that Day,
He shall grant a crown victorious,
Which will never fade away.
So, be subject to each other,
Clothed with Christ’s humility
God will bless the pure and humble
Now unto eternity!
