Proclaiming the Gospel of Grace!
Text: John A. Dalles, May 16, 2006
Tune: BETHESDA IS FREE
Meter: 11.8.11.8. with refrain.
Say, what is this singing? This marvelous sound?
Proclaiming the gospel of grace!
The door is wide open, so joy may abound,
Proclaiming the gospel of grace!
Refrain:
All you who are here! All you who draw near!
All you who would look on His face!
Come give God Your promise! Give Jesus your praise!
Proclaiming the gospel of grace!
For once we were lonely and once we were lost
All wanderers, worn and afraid!
Yet, Jesus Himself paid the terrible cost,
So we could return to God’s ways!
(Refrain)
No night is so dismal that Jesus won’t bear
Our troubles and hear when we pray!
No day is so brilliant that Jesus can’t share
More sunlight to spread on the way!
(Refrain)
The poor and the wealthy, the young and the old,
The sorrowing, soul-sick and sad,
When blessed by God’s welcoming wonders untold,
Are guided and grateful and glad!
(Refrain)
